Tulsa, Oklahoma three-star linebacker Kimmie Carson has done well enough to earn several offers, but one school has risen to the top. That school is Arkansas State.
Carson (6-2, 210, 4.5) holds offers from Arkansas State, Washington State, New Mexico, South Dakota, and Oregon State.
He spoke with RedWolfReport.com in regards to his recruiting, and why Arkansas State is his leader.
"Arkansas State is looking real good right now," said Carson. "I keep hearing nothing but good things about them, and they are my top school right now."
"I talk with coach Brandon Hall just about every other day," Carson added. "He and I have a really good relationship, and I'm planning on going to their camp on July 22nd. I've been hearing about the new facilities that are coming, and I just think a lot of good things are about to happen there."
Carson said he is looking forward to meeting head coach Gus Malzahn when he comes to camp.
"I've never met Coach Malzahn, but I know he is an excellent coach," said Carson. "Everything you hear about him is good, and I look for Arkansas State to have a really good season this year because of him. Just everything I know and hear about that school really makes me like Arkansas State."
Carson even went as far as to say a commitment may be coming very soon.
"Yeah, I think I may commit soon," said Carson. "I want to go out there and see the facilities first, but I just keep hearing nothing but good things about Arkansas State. Their coaches are really making a big push in everything that they do, and the staff is just great. I really like everything that is going on there."
He also spoke about his goals for his senior season.
"I just want to improve as a player," said Carson. "I want people to be able to look at my junior highlights and see a noticeable difference between them and my senior highlights. Other than that, I'm just going to work hard to get a state championship this year."
Carson noted that the Arkansas State camp will be his final camp to attend this year.
