New Lenox (Ill.) Providence Catholic junior wide receiver recruit Miles Boykin (6-foot-5, 205 pounds) spent two days in Nashville and had an extended look at Vanderbilt. Boykin came away impressed with the Commodores and recaps his travels here.
"I had a great visit to Vanderbilt," Boykin said. "We actually stayed for two days and I'm really happy we decided to stay overnight. The longer visit gave me time to spend with the coaches and I was able to just get a better feel for everything at Vanderbilt."
Boykin recapped what stood out on his trip to the Nashville, Tennessee located school.
"I just loved it at Vanderbilt and the overall hospitality from the coaches and really everyone around the football program and the school was great. The coaches are all great guys and they really went out of their way to show me everything and to make me feel welcomed. They just showed me and my family a lot of love over the past two days. I was impressed with the campus and the surrounding area at Vanderbilt. It just feels like a great place to go to school. Vanderbilt also offers great academics and they also offer a lot of resources for athletes and academic support. The facilities are also impressive and overall it was a very good visit for myself and my family."
Boykin has yet to land an offer from the Commodores yet Boykin feels that an offer could come soon.
"The Vanderbilt coaches said they are excited about me. They asked me to stay in touch and that they will want to see some of my early tape this season. My family also really came away impressed with Vanderbilt. If it was up to my Mom I would be going to Vanderbilt right now."
Boykin is also hoping to fit in two more visits this week.
"I'm going to visit Indiana on Wednesday and I also want to get out to Illinois later this week. I'm trying to get in as many visits now before we report back for practices a week from now."
Miles Boykin has an offer from Illinois.
