Tide rolls over Vanderbilt, 24-10
Vanderbilt thought it had a golden opportunity to end its 19-game losing streak against Alabama on Saturday. Instead, the Commodores watched that opportunity slip through their fingers as Alabama left Nashville with a 24-10 victory at Dudley Field.
A comedy of errors plagued Vanderbilt on Saturday, as the Commodores missed numerous tackles, were called for penalties at inopportune times and at the end, was worn down by an Alabama rushing attack that amassed 221 yards.
"That was a tough one to go through," said Vanderbilt Coach Bobby Johnson. "Alabama played physical and we had too many errors in the first half."
