FROM THE LOCKER ROOM

Coach Ed Orgeron’s comments: “It was a defensive night. We didn’t play very well on offense. Coach (Matt) Canada is very disappointed in the offense. (Defensive coordinator) Dave Aranda is an excellent play-caller. He had 15 days to know what hurts Matt’s offense. The defense was tired of getting its butts kicked all spring. The quarterback job is open because no one has earned a starting spot. Danny (Etling) didn’t play good. He had some good days in spring, but he did not have one tonight. None of the quarterbacks had a good night. We didn’t protect very well. Our offensive line got overpowered at times. We need to get better, a lot better. We are not ready to play a game right now.”
