Troy proceeded to go on a scoring drive which put it ahead 24-7. LSU scored two touchdowns in the last eight minutes, but it was too little too late.

FROM THE LOCKER ROOM

Coach Ed Orgeron’s comments: “Obviously, that was a disappointing performance. The bottom line is that we were outplayed and outcoached. I have to keep this team together. We have to fight hard. We have to figure out why we are doing the things we are doing. They were 10-of-18 on third downs and we gave up 206 yards rushing. We seemed to be out-physicaled by Troy. Danny got roughed up, but he could have gone back in. We gave Myles a chance and he gave us a boost. He made some good plays, but then there was the interception. On the first play of the game, we gave the ball to our third running back. That is not the way to start the game. If I had the call back, Darrel (Williams) would have gotten the ball. I am not point fingers. I make all the calls. Everything goes through me. We’re not playing as a team.”
