The San Diego (Calif.) Morse running back was recently named MVP of an Under Armour camp in California. The 6-foot, 195-pounder can catch it out of the backfield, make one cut and take it to the house or stay back and pass protect. Cardwell told Tigerdetails that Washington, UCLA, Utah and Cal are recruiting him the hardest, however, he's very interested in LSU, Cal, Washington and Utah. He plans to take a trip to Baton Rouge during the summer, perhaps in July or August.
During his junior season, he rushed for 875 yards and 25 touchdowns. Cardwell is currently ranked as a three-star recruit by Rivals and the No. 25 ranked athlete nationally.
