yea, they made a 6" incision & went inside the shoulder capsule & cut off the top 3rd of the humerus ball & replaced it with a titanium cap & put a titanium anchor screw into the bone to hold it in place. That is a partial replacement. A full replacement would be that plus the Glenoid section(socket).
