Um, no.

Having the equivalent of the old "big 2 and little 8" doesn't translate into the entire conference being worthy of praise. Mississippi State is heavily over=rated BECAUSE they are in the SEC. It allows short-sighted people to unrealistically relate them to Alabama or LSU. Though I do not question the quality at the top of the conference, I challenge the quality of most of the teams beneath that. It also has become a justification for the SEC teams to get away with scheduling 4 cream puffs - often not even FBS schools- a year. One of the hardest challenges for a college team is to win week in and week out against strong competition. There is no threat of facing that kind of schedule in the SEC (with the notable exception of LSU who has always gone out of their way to schedule well over the years).
