My wife and I are Arizona State grads that now live in Denver. We're huge college football fans and want to experience a monster SEC game so we have everything booked to come to Bama-LSU next week. When LSU came out to Tempe in 2005 after Katrina, every LSU fan we met said we have to get our asses out to Baton Rouge for a game.
I've heard all the stories about LSU fans basically forcing you to come into their tailgates and party. Where are the best tailgating spots and other pregame stuff? Should I wear ASU gear, LSU gear, a combo?
Thanks in advance.

ASU gear will work great.
Tailgates go on within a mile of the stadium in all directions, just wander thru the parking lots, tents, wherever.
I suggest you walk all around. Somebody will offer you Bloody Marys with breakfast if you get up and out that early. Or maybe a nitecap if you get out there Fri nite.
Please let us know your experiences and impressions.

You guys have the best tailgating in the country....hands down. Jambalaya, fried okra, fried catfish, tons of booze, tons of fun. Everything was awesome until about a minute and a half left in the game. We're definitely going to make it back there for a game in the future.
