Are you talking about Les's postgame speech after the Ole Miss game????   If so, you are the one who is nuts.  I just watched that speech by Les and I loved it..... emotional and great humor thrown in.   I'm a Bama fan, and sometimes I cringe when Les goes to speak, but last night, THAT was a GREAT speech!!!!   That's college football, period!    

PS:  that was an exciting game Tigers.  Good win!
  

Some few parents may dislike him but he recruits very well because many parents want their kids to play for him.

That post game speech was fantastic. I would love to have him as my coach. He may do some odd things and his clock management can sometimes drive you crazy, but there is no doubt the kids love him and play hard for him.

Context, Context, the context is that a reporter worte an article in the Baton Rouge paper this week about LSU's 15 seniors, and in particular, an article about one player who was rated as a 5-star recruit and among the top 5 players coming out of HS by Rivals, ESPN, Scout, etc asking whether the player was a flop at LSU.

Miles being a guy who views his players like sons, so to speak, went to bat for his players saying that the walk-on who is a scout team player ,a backup who plays little or a highly recruited guy, who is going to get his degree and provided leadership is not a flop.

I have no problem with anything he said, maybe NAMBLA and very left wing types, MSNBC media types, etc. 

I'm letting this stay up to serve as an example of utter idiocy. You are in the vast, vast minority my friend as Les is being praised from message boards to sportsdesks for that speech of his.

I don't see an allegiance next to your name, but if you think that is disgraceful, I shudder to think what you deem worthy of respect.

Bud, that just might have been the the single best speech by a coach in this country. Yeah, Miles talks funny and says some strange things, but that was out of love for his LSU kids.  I have never been prouder of Miles than I am now,

My suggestion to you other than visiting here is to learn to judge people a little better and to realize he was defending a good kid in a good program and that there is no better MAN in coaching

You know little of what you speak and given you board name I doubt you will be swayed by the rest of the story.

His remarks came in response to an article in the local newspaper suggesting that one of the seniors had essentially been a bust or a flop.  Les was having none of it and made sure he lt every single person there knew how he felt of the contributions of his players this season.

And that's why players would run through a wall for him.  If you don't get that, your loss.

Most parents would kiss him on the mouth if they were a girl. Seriously if you could combine Saban and Miles you would have the perfect coach.
