Blake has no complaints after UT visit

Go ahead and circle June 8th on your recruiting calendar.

That's the date that Austin (Texas) High wide receiver Emory Blake plans to walk away with a scholarship offer from the Texas Longhorns.

The 6-2, 190-pound Blake visited the hometown Longhorns on Sunday and was blow away with his first trip to the 40 Acres, but he didn't walk away with a scholarship offer that he was hoping for.

"I don't know how everything works, but after everyone left, coach (Greg) Davis pulled me into (Mack Brown's) office and they sat down with me and talked about everything. They let me know how they felt about me. They said they are very interested, but they were not ready to offer yet because they weren't sure because of my injuries. They want to evaluate me at their mini-camp on June 8th. I plan on earning it then."

As for the visit itself, Blake admitted that the Longhorns out together a pretty overwhelming presentation.

"They really impressed me," Blake said. "Coach (Mack) Brown really impressed me. He's been doing this a long time, but he knows just what to say to get your attention. The coaching staff was great. The facilities were great. I had no complaints."

Next up for Blake are potential visits to Virginia, LSU and Texas Tech for their respective junior days.

"I'm still going to go through the recruiting process," Blake said. "I like Texas a lot, but since I've never been to any other Junior Days, I don't have anything to compare it to. I still like LSU. I like Georgia, Virginia and Florida. I really want to see how the other places compare to Texas. I feel like (Texas) is the best thing, but I won't know until I can compare them to someone else."
