Top recruits show out in Fort Worth

FORT WORTH, Texas - When hitting the TCU NIKE camp in Fort Worth there was no question that the defensive line and defensive back groups grabbed the most attention. Not only were there ample Sooner targets like Kenneth Garrett and Gabe Lynn but also Sooner commitments like Terry Franklin and Javon Harris. With Oklahoma still identifying numerous prospects at both positions the camp could be a jumping off point for the next few months of recruiting.

While the line was a solid group of players, the deepest position at the camp was undoubtedly defensive back with not only Harris and Lynn but fellow Sooner offer David Gordon of Tulsa East Central. class=ContentDbAnchor href=viewprospect.asp?Sport=1&pr_key=62650>Gabe Ikard. Ikard didn't get a chance to take a lot of work as the tight ends group spent a lot of their time with the receivers, but when he did; he made a positive impression.

An Oklahoma Flavor

The linebacker position was one that had several top players like Texas commitment Tariq Allen but by the end of the day several 'Okies' had made positive impressions.
