Western Kentucky preview
Mississippi State will face one final non-conference challenge tonight traveling to Western Kentucky at 8 p.m.
The Bulldogs could enter their conference opener with Ole Miss Saturday riding a 10-game winning streak with a win against the Hilltoppers.
MSU went undefeated at 8-0 during the month of December for the third time in the Rick Stansbury era.
MSU holds the edge in the series 3-2 following last season's 95-67 win in Starkville. The Bulldogs tied a then single-game record with 14 3-pointers in that contest. They are 68-13 all-time against teams from the Sun Belt Conference.
The Bulldogs are 12-2 overall on the year shooting 46.8-percent and averaging 76.4 points a game. State continues to lead the country in 3-pointers draining 144 shots from the outside. They have also shot 69.8-percent from the free throw line. Opponents are shooting just 35.7-percent against the Bulldogs and scoring only 58.8 points.
