Hawkeyes getting a great athlete in Miller

As a senior, Tanner Miller did a little bit of everything in leading Mid-Prairie to an 8-3 record. he 6-foot-2, 200-pounder finished the season with 1,846 yards rushing and 23 touchdowns to go along with 64 tackles on defense. After Miller committed to Iowa today, we caught up with his head coach, Pete Cavanaugh, to talk about what kind of player the Hawkeyes are getting and much more.

Q: What kind of a player are the Hawkeyes getting in Tanner Miller?

CAVANAUGH: He is just a tremendous athlete. He is a three sport guy and for us, he has gotten better every year. I really truly believe that his best football is ahead of him. He is the kind of kid that has kind of physically matured later on in his career. He is a very smart football player and a coach's son, with his dad being on our coaching staff. He has been very key to us the past few years as our punter/kicker, running back, and defensive back.
