Hargrett bowls through scrimmage

MORGANTOWN--West Virginia may have found a No. 2 running back today when Daquan Hargrett drew Amos Zereoue references as he bounced off one defender after another in short bursts between the tackles. Ryan Clarke, too, drew big numbers as the "big back" in Jeff Mullen's offense and Noel Devine ran like a senior back who was a 5-star recruit coming out of high school.

The running game and projected starting quarterback Geno Smith were the headliners as West Virginia scrimmaged for the third time this spring, the second with officials. The Big East's referee coordinator, Terry McAuley was on the field throughout the 2-hour practice.
