Mangiro talks about his plans
While Angelo Mangiro isn't ready to talk about narrowing his list or who might be at the top of it he does have a plan for how he wants to go about things.
Mangiro isn't denying that there are schools that he has a high interest in. He just isn't ready to reveal who might have an advantage at this point.
Part of that is due to the fact that he doesn't want to turn any schools off that could still make a case for themselves, and another part is because of his desire to see even more schools offer and enter the race.
"Coaches have been coming in to see me but not too much new has been going on," Mangiro explained on Friday afternoon.
"The newest school (to offer) has been Michigan State. That one came in. I talked to them on the phone the other day and that's about it."
Mangiro is now sitting on 14 scholarship offers. Since he hasn't trimmed his list at all, at least publicly, that leaves a lot of work for him to do in a short amount of time.
"I want to make my decision before football season so I'm going to try to cram in as many visits as possible this summer. I might have a top two and take a couple of official visits early but I want to decide before the season," he explained.
The 6-foot-2, 290-pound guard from Succasunna (N.J.) Roxbury said he may come out with a top five in the next couple of weeks and visit those five schools unofficially over the summer.
Earlier in the month he told Rivals.com that he would like to visit some schools out west and he reiterated his interest in doing that on Friday.
