Boehm Another Missouri Prospect to Norman?

A few years ago a junior-to-be offensive lineman from the state of Missouri showed up at Oklahoma's camp with little fanfare and left as a player on the Sooners' recruiting radar. Roughly a year and a half later Tyler Evans would sign with the Sooners and going into his sophomore year is battling for a starting position with the Sooners.

Aside from being as well known, as he already is, it's possible Evan Boehm saw a chance for a similar opportunity upon arriving in Norman last Saturday.

The 6-foot-3, 290-pound offensive guard found himself at Oklahoma's intramural fields already holding offers from Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska, and Missouri, but came in with hopes of gaining further attention from the Sooners, and particularly offensive line coach James Patton.

"I got down there Friday around 4:30 in the afternoon and we met up with all of the coaches but I didn't get to meet coach (Bob) Stoops because he was at a meeting but coach Patton gave me a tour of the whole facility and stuff and I just talked to him a little bit," he said.
