Hoops recruiting report card

As we proceed into the intense July player evaluation recruiting period, it is worthwhile to summarize what UCLA's goals are with each class. The general theme is that even though the talent level has not been up to par in some of the recent classes, particularly in the West, that is about to change significantly. Our objective is not to provide an exhaustive list of everyone UCLA has shown any interest in, but to chronicle those players that UCLA has some kind of a realistic chance of signing. (We will be reviewing the class of 2012 later this week.)

Class of 2010
The Bruins existing incoming class has been discussed extensively. This class is as follows:

Two-guard Tyler Lamb (6-2) Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei, combo guard Matt Carlino (6-2) from Bloomington ,Ind., point guard Lazeric Jones Carterville (Ill.) John A. Logan Junior College and C Joshua Smith Kent (Wash.) Kentwood. (In addition, UCLA will also add David Wear and Travis Wear who will be eligible for the 2011-2012 season.)
