Smith learning at Lebron James camp

Deville Smith has been sick of late but was not going to miss his opportunity to attend the Lebron James Skills Academy in Akron, Ohio.

The four-star Mississippi State commitment not only made the trip but also got to play against the camp's namesake as well.

"I'm just now getting back out and playing," Smith said. "Right now I'm at Lebron's Training Camp. We're doing a lot of skill work and workout out every day. There's a lot of media up here trying to get us to talk about Lebron."

Smith did not know what to expect from his first encounter with James but walked away impressed by the NBA All-Star.

"It was good," Smith said. "I thought he was going to be all stuck up but he was just a normal person. I didn't get his autograph but I'm think I'm going to get to it later on. We played knockout against him. He jumps quicker than he does on TV."

The 5-foot-10, 160-pound point guard stated that his recruitment has slowed down just a little since his commitment to MSU in late April.
