2012 Maryland athlete already has UVa offer

Virginia has hit the state of Maryland hard in the Class of 2011 and it appears that going forward that will be the norm rather than the exception.

Cyrus Jones, a versatile athlete, is one of Maryland's top rising juniors and the UVa coaching staff has already offered him a scholarship.

It's far too early for Jones, a 5-foot-11, 183-pound athlete from Baltimore (Md.) Gilman School, to think about favorites, and you get the impression from talking to him that he is genuinely open, not leaning toward any school in particular.

Iowa, Maryland, Pitt and West Virginia are the schools that have verbally offered Jones, in addition to UVa, and he spoke to CavsCorner about his thoughts on all of those schools.
