Hart talks about decision
"I visited VU in July a couple of weeks ago. The campus is beautiful and I got a good feeling about the people there. The coaching staff was excited about the program and the players I met were smart, very well conditioned and enthusiastic about Coach Caldwell. Coach Caldwell has been very honest and direct with me from the start and I'm excited to play for him. I spent some time with Coach Pelton the DE coach, and he has experience as a player and as a coach. I can learn a lot from him."
"My parents have always talked about what a great school Vanderbilt is. They compete in a tough league, and they do it in the right way. We know Vanderbilt very well at Brother Rice, in fact our '10 Valedictorian is going to school there.
"I have very good speed and endurance. I can always get better with various rushing techniques and stunts. Vanderbilt uses deception and mis-direction. I saw that they even use the DE in pass coverage at times. They expect their D-Line to produce."
"I visited several Big Ten schools and had a great visit to Colorado State last week. I've met a lot of good people in the past few months. It helped me make the right decision and helped me get a feel for where I belong. I have a strong feeling for Coach Caldwell, his staff, and the Vanderbilt family."
"We have several defensive starters returning this year and our offense has some great additions at key spots. We have a great group of guys who really care about each other. Every one of them is like my brother. Brother Rice is celebrating it's 50th year this Fall, and Coach Al Fracassa has been there since 1969. We always aspire to play for a state championship, but this year is special for Coach Fracassa. We want to give him his 400th win as a coach and we want to be his favorite team. He has coached for over 42 years and he is the winningest high school coach in Michigan's history. There are so many players he's coached that love him. No one ever wants to let him down."
