Defensive line preview

Mississippi State's defensive front might be one of the most underrated units in the Southeastern Conference.

Sure the Bulldogs have the star power of senior defensive end Pernell McPhee but the rest of Chris Wilson's defensive line is deep and talented as well.

Sophomore defensive tackles Fletcher Cox and Josh Boyd saw action as true freshmen last year and should continue to be solid for years to come. The Bulldogs also have plenty more underclassmen that will play a vital role in the rotation as well.

McPhee is no doubt the headliner of the unit having led MSU in sacks a season ago. The former junior college All-American and two-year national sack leader finished 2009 with 56 tackles, 12 stops for loss, five sacks, four pass deflections and one forced fumble.
