Fosselman sparks second half comeback

Devin Fosselman was expected to miss his second straight game this past Friday with an ankle sprain.

But with Wilkinson County down 13-0 at halftime to Port Gibson the three-star wide receiver decided to dress out in the second half and helped lead his team back to a 20-19 victory.

"We were losing and I've got some friends up there at PG," Fosselman said. "I knew that if we lost I wouldn't hear the end of that one. I was warming up during pregame and I wasn't cutting all that good but it was enough that I knew I could play. I asked my coach if I could suit up and if he would let me play. He asked me if I could play without getting hurt and I told him I thought I could. He told me to go strap up and we came out and ended up pulling it out. I came in and made a couple of big plays but I was a decoy mostly but it helped us out."

Fosselman made three catches for 41 yards in the second half and has 14 catches for 213 yards on the season. He has also carried three times for 57 yards as the Wildcats sit at 3-1 on the year.
