Nicholls State preview

Mississippi State continues its gauntlet of games playing its third consecutive matchup in as many days.

Tonight the Bulldogs welcome Nicholls State to Humphrey Coliseum with tipoff scheduled for 7 p.m.

MSU lost the first game of the five games in five days span Saturday night 63-62 to East Tennessee State before bouncing back for a 74-58 win over North Carolina A&T on Sunday.

Tonight's matchup with the Colonels will be the sixth meeting between the two schools. The Bulldogs are 5-0 all-time against Nicholls State including a 74-68 victory in Jackson in 2008. Ravern Johnson was State's third leading scorer in that contest with 11 points.

The Bulldogs also hold a 37-3 record against teams from the Southland Conference.
