Mississippi State is shooting for its third consecutive win and also a series sweep today traveling to the plains to take on Auburn at 6 p.m.
The Bulldogs have back-to-back wins over SEC West foes LSU and Arkansas and have already knocked off Auburn 85-66 a month ago.
The Tigers hold the series edge 70-64 but State has closed the gap winning six of the last 10 meetings. But Auburn has won the past two times at home including the final game inside Beard-Eaves Memorial Coliseum last season.
Rick Stansbury enters the Auburn Arena for the first time at 5-4 in conference play and 13-10 overall. The Bulldogs are shooting 42.5-percent from the field and averaging 68.3 points per game. MSU is also rattling home 33.8-percent from behind the arc and converting 71.1-percent from the free throw line. Their opponents are shooting 41.4-percent against them and scoring 69.3 points on average.
