Video: Dawson scores 37 in showdown with Perea

McDonald's All-American Branden Dawson is the headliner of an outstanding Michigan State basketball class is among the nation's best for 2011.

Last Thursday Dawson and his Gary (Ind.) Lew Wallace teammates faced La Porte (Ind.) La Lumiere, which features five-star Indiana commitment Hanner Perea. La Lumiere bounced back from an early deficit to post a convincing 75-60 win over Lew Wallace. But in the loss, Dawsen demonstrated all of qualities that made him such a sought-after recruit last summer.

Dawsen led all scorers with 37 points in the game. Dawsen star is ranked the No. 4 small forward and No. 14 overall prospect in the senior class according to Rivals.com.
