Lohn makes first visit to Iowa
Highly recruited defensive lineman Nathanael Lohn is making several visits this month as he looks to narrow down his long list of school over the summer. On Thursday, his travels took him to Iowa City for his first visit with the Hawkeyes. The 6-foot-3, 265-pound Lohn talks about the trip, his interest in Iowa, when he might make a decision, and much more.
Q: Did you end up visiting Iowa last week?
LOHN: Yes sir. I went down there on Thursday.
Q: Can you kind of take us through the visit and what you got to do there?
LOHN: Well, when we showed up, we kind of said hello to all of the coaches and then we went on a tour of the Tippie College of Business. After that, we went back and talked to some of the players in a player panel type of deal. Then, we went and met with Coach Kaczenski and talked about the defense. After that, we talked to Coach Ferentz and had a good conversation with him. Then, we toured the weight room and met with Coach Doyle, and toured the stadium and all of the facilities.
As a junior, Lohn racked up 98 tackles and 12 sacks on his way to earning first team all-state honors at Staley High School in Kansas City. Currently, he holds scholarship offers from Iowa, Missouri, Nebraska, Kansas, Kansas State, Michigan State, Stanford, Duke, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa State, Purdue, Pittsburgh, Minnesota, Vanderbilt, Northern Illinois, and Tulsa.
