Rios gets visit from Duck staff

The Ducks recruiting is heating up and they are starting to narrow down who still has the opportunity be part of the 2012 recruiting class. One of the prospects that is hoping to have a chance is Consumnes HS cornerback Marcus Rios. Duck Sports Authority spoke with Rios' coach Ryan Gomes recently and got a quick update on his status.

According to Gomes, Rios is down to Notre Dame, UCLA, Nebraska and Oregon and although he originally planned to announce at his All American game he will now wait so that he can take two more visits. Rios will hopefully visit both Notre Dame and Oregon in early January before making a decision.

The Ducks still have not extended an offer to Rios but coach John Neal was visiting the 4 star defensive back on Monday and Gomes said the meeting went well. "Neal loved his wingspan and body type," said Gomes. "They love Marcus. They are waiting to hear from the one kid they have offered then Marc is the next on the board."
