Hawks offer JUCO RB

After losing Marcus Coker and Mika'il McCall, it is no secret the Hawkeyes could use more depth at running back even with two high school prospects already committed this year. It appears the Iowa coaching staff has recently found another target to go after, this time in the junior college ranks, in three-star recruit Aaron Harris.

"Iowa just entered the picture last week," said Harris. "They actually called me while I was on my trip to Colorado State. They offered me and wanted to setup a visit for this week, but I was already going to Cincinnati."

"So I let them know that I'm willing to wait to decide if they're really interested," he continued. "They said they were, so I'm going to visit next week after signing day and then I'll make my decision after that."

Currently, Harris attends Southwestern College in Chula Vista, California, where he is the school's all-time leading rusher with 2,000 career yards. As a freshman, he ran for 1,128 yards in 2009, then missed the 2010 season with a shoulder injury, and returned in 2011 with 872 yards.
