Defensive line enters new era in 2012

Of all the units making up the 2012 West Virginia Mountaineers, the defensive line is undergoing perhaps the biggest makeover. Gone are fan favorites Bruce Irvin and Julian Miller; off to the NFL. Likewise, the 3-3-5 set is a thing of the past, scrapped by new co-defensive coordinators Joe DeForest and Keith Patterson in favor of a more traditional 3-4 scheme.

The Mountaineers, however, have built up replacements on the defense line, ready to take over where Irvin and Miller left off last season.
