Woods emerging

J.D. Woods has been consistent in his message to media members since fall camp; he just wants to make plays. And the redshirt senior wide receiver did just that against Baylor, turning in a career performance and making one of the key catches in the game.

Woods finished the Big 12 opener with 13 catches for 114 yards and a touchdown, but none bigger than his one-handed snare of a Geno Smith pass on the final drive to allow the Mountaineers to run out the clock and secure their first conference win in as many tries.
