Alcorn State preview

Mississippi State returns to the friendly confines of Humphrey Coliseum tonight, the site of their only victory this season.

It has been tough going for Rick Ray's young and thin Bulldogs sitting at 1-4 so far but hope to get back on track against Alcorn State tonight at 7 p.m.

All of MSU's losses have come away from Starkville with a season opening loss at Troy and three straight losses in the Maui Invitational last week.

Tonight will be just the fifth meeting on the hardwood between the Magnolia State schools with the series tied 2-2. The Bulldogs claimed the last meeting 120-65 in Starkville in 1991. That was the fourth most points ever put up by State.

The Bulldogs are 20-2 all-time against SWAC opponents.
