Will Smith return?

There won't be any drama regarding whether or not junior defensive end Garrison Smith will return for his senior campaign.

Wednesday, the former Douglass High standout told UGASports that he'll definitely be back for another year and will not leave early for the NFL Draft.

"I'll be coming back," Smith said. "I feel like maybe if I could have played all year I would have had a better season."

A 6-foot-3, 297-pounder, Smith started seven of Georgia's games at defensive end, collecting 55 tackles, mostly while filling in for the injured Abry Jones.

"I just feel like I've got a lot more room to develop and grow," Smith said. "I'm not the player yet that I want to be. I feel like I've got a lot more to give to the program, the University."

Smith said he never sent in his papers to the NFL Advisory Board.

"I haven't sent in anything. I haven't even thought about it. My degree is something big to me and my family. It's a personal goal. It's something I never thought I'd ever accomplish," Smith said. "I never thought I'd get into college, much less earn my degree. I'm just thankful for God to letting me make it this far."
