AUBURN -- Charlie Harbison and his new partner in the secondary fit together well.
"Like a hand in a glove," he said.
Harbison and Melvin Smith first worked together under defensive coordinator Ellis Johnson at Mississippi State during the 2007 season. Harbison coached safeties while Smith worked exclusively with the cornerbacks.
The trio has reunited at Auburn - and the men involved believe their latest collaboration will be their best effort yet. Harbison now possesses 11 years of SEC coaching experience while Smith is up to 18.
"Every person brings something to the table" Harbison said. "And I'm excited about that."
Fans should be excited about the duo getting their hands on a secondary that brims with potential playmakers.
