Pruitt's First Look at Oklahoma Won't be His Last
After the Sooners difficulties recruiting along the offensive line for the 2013 class it appeared changes may have been needed to be made on the coaching staff. Shortly after signing day those changes came when James Patton left for Indiana and Bruce Kittle was removed of his coaching duties. Newly hired offensive line coach Bill Bedenbaugh has started off well at his new position getting involved with numerous prospects.
6-foot-5, 275-pound Jovan Pruitt, of Dallas Bishop Dunne was surprised to hear the news about Kittle but was one of the first targets Bedenbaugh made contact with before the Sooners second Jr. Day.
"Yeah we did," Pruitt said about talking with Bedenbaugh before the Jr. Day this past Saturday. "I was actually pretty surprised to hear about that but I guess changes had to be made."
This past weekend the offensive guard/tackle prospect, who received his Oklahoma offer in late January was in Norman with his mom for the Jr. Day festivities and also to check out the Sooners first spring practice.
"I thought it was pretty good," he began about the visit. "They have everything mapped out for you down there when you go. I liked it. It's so straight away and everything on campus wasn't too far from each other. I liked that."
