Post-game Video: Dantonio, Narduzzi, Warner

EAST LANSING - Mark Dantonio will take the victory.

But the Michigan State coach wanted much more than he received from his offense in a mistake-filled 23-16 win over Western Michigan.

"At the end of the day, the goal is to win and we got a win," said Dantonio. "From that standpoint, goal number one accomplished, but we've got to do is clean up things. I credit Western Michigan, so I don't say this in any disrespect to them, but we had many other opportunities to put the game away and to get out."

Dropped passes by wide receivers and ineffective quarterback play from both starter Andrew Maxwell and back-up Connor Cook bothered Dantonio.

Dantonio was pleased with performance of the Spartan defense in the opener. Michigan State scored two defensive touchdowns and registered six sacks, while limiting the Broncos to 204 yards of total offense.
