Jesse Jackson: "I Just Love that Place"

Most every player that goes through the recruiting process has a moment where they realize where they want to be. They begin to take visits to other schools and something just doesn't feel right. For Petal 3* wide receiver Jesse Jackson, he's felt that way about Mississippi State for quite some time.

"I just love the atmosphere. I love Coach Dan (Mullen) and the players and I got along well with them when I was there for the time," Jackson said of Mississippi State. "I got to talk to coach a bit before the game and I just like the guy. He's a great guy and very honest with keeping his word. That stood out to me more."

Jackson made the call on Monday by putting on a black MSU visor in the library of Petal High School in front of friends, family, coaches and media from around the state. A long process for the senior star, Jackson was relieved to finally make the call to be a Bulldog. In the end, the feeling he received in Starkville was too much to overcome.

"I think it's just that feeling I get when I come on campus. Just the love that I get from the fans and the people around there, it's just the place to be."

Jackson is still slightly under the radar according to most publications but is a player that most coaches around the SEC salivate over. He feels like there's more to his game than just catching the football but there is always something he can work on to get better.
