Border state gems confirmed for Red-White game

In their short tenure, the Nebraska staff under head coach Bill Callahan has used the annual Red-White game as a chance to showcase their program to recruits as far away as both coasts. It's mostly prospects from in-state and across the Midwest that typically make up the bulk of those traveling to see the game and Saturday is setting up to be no exception. HuskersIllustrated.com has confirmed that two NU targets will be making return visits to Lincoln.

Overland Park (Kan.) Shawnee Mission West linebacker Blake Lawrence was in Lincoln for Nebraska's Junior Day two weeks ago and it opened his eyes to what the Husker program had to offer.

"I was really impressed with everything going on up there," Lawrence said shortly after. "I've never visited Lincoln or seen any of their facilities before and it was very impressive. I'd say the future of the team and the facilities up there are very bright."

After talking things over with his family, he decided to make a return trek to take in the sights and spectacle of the annual Red-White game.

"Yes, I'm coming back to the spring game," Lawrence confirmed.
