Huntington Beach (Calif.) Edison offensive tackle Martin Coleman had an onslaught of scholarship offers from schools nationwide this week, but after conferring with his sister, uncle and family back in Tonga, he decided to end the recruiting process early to become a Trojan.
Just moments after getting their first commitment from the class of 2008, USC gets its third commitment for 2007.
At 6-foot-7, 285-pounds, Coleman wowed onlookers at the recent Southern California NIKE Camp held at USC. As a native of Tonga, Coleman has only played one full year of football. Despite his inexperience at the position, the all-state tackle will likely be the highest rated offensive lineman in California for 2007.
