Will UGA commits be in Athens to compete?
Athens (Ga.) will be a hot spot for talent this weekend as the NIKE Camp tour rolls into the classic city. The University of Georgia has already picked up four verbal commitments this year we expect three of them to be in Athens this Saturday.
As of today, April 26, Georgia has picked up verbal commitments from Tanner Strickland, Conrad Obi, Rennie Curran, and Trinton Sturdivant.
Strickland committed to Georgia back in August of 2005. He is a 6-foot-4, 315-pound athletic offensive guard out of Berrien County High School in Nashville (Ga.).
He was named to the pre-evaluation Rivals100 and looks to be one of the best interior offensive linemen in the class of 2007.
Strickland will not be on hand this weekend for the NIKE Camp because of a school activity.
