Napier sees big offensive tackle target Thursday

Ronda, N.C., East Wilkes offensive tackle Landon Walker will soon have a decision, as he told Tigerillustrated.com in a Thursday night interview.

The 6-foot-6, 270-pounder has offers from North Carolina, N.C. State, Clemson, Duke, Wake Forest and East Carolina. Virginia Tech could be close to offering.

Over the last few days N.C. State, Wake Forest and Clemson have stopped by. North Carolina, Wake and East Carolina have all stopped by over the last two weeks.

"Coach (Chuck) Amato came by last Friday. He told my coach he felt that N.C. State was the place for me. He said he felt I would fit in best there, plus they need offensive linemen," Walker said.

"Coach (Billy) Napier from Clemson came today," he said. "He told my coach they are zeroing in on two tackles, and he emphasized how important I was to their plans. He said I was one of the two tackles they were counting on. I like him. I like the way he's recruiting me."
