Hawkeyes land second commit of the day

Iowa's recruiting efforts in-state got off to a great start today as head coach Kirk Ferentz and his staff went two for two in landing commitments. Joining wide receiver Colin Sandeman, the second commitment today came from fast rising defensive lineman, Cody Hundertmark, who gave his verbal pledge on a visit to Iowa City.

After spending several hours today in Iowa City, the 6-foot-4, 266-pound Hundertmark planned to give his commitment to Coach Ferentz, but found out that he had already left the building. The Humboldt native then found Coach Reese Morgan, who recruits the in-state prospects, and gave him the news.

With offers from Indiana and Iowa State to go along with the Hawkeyes, Hundertmark had other options, but has felt all along that Iowa was the best fit for him.
