Witt talks UW offer

Before receiving his first scholarship offer from the Wisconsin Badgers on Monday, Wylie, Texas quarterback Patrick Witt wasn't receiving too much attention from the staff in Madison.

But that all changed when UW offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Paul Chryst traveled to Texas earlier this week to watch the 6-foot-4, 215-pound Witt at a Wylie spring practice.

According to Witt, Chryst left Monday's practice impressed with the QB because of his maturity, grasp of the fundamentals, release and strong arm.

Indiana has since offered and schools showing him strong interest are Oklahoma, Texas Tech, Vanderbilt and Arizona State.
