Sunshine State Big Three in pursuit of Hicks
With scholarships for the upcoming class at a premium, and 2005 signee Dan Foster already committed, Florida State is not in the market for many more linebackers.
With that in mind, the Seminole coaching staff has tendered only one scholarship to a high school linebacker.
That player is Jacksonville Forrest's Brandon Hicks.
The 6-foot-3, 210-pound linebacker not only picked up an FSU offer within the past couple weeks, fellow Sunshine State powers Miami and Florida have also recently joined the Hicks' sweepstakes. He also carries an out of state offer from Auburn and says Clemson and LSU are close to jumping on board as well.
Even with offers from the big three in-state schools now in hand, the Forrest standout doesn't intend to make a quick decision. In fact, he says he'll wait until national signing day.
