In-state OL commits to Crimson Tide

On Saturday, Mike Shula and the rest of the Crimson Tide coaching staff kicked off the first of two days of mini-camps camps by hosting several of the South's top prospects. One of the big questions heading into the weekend centered on the staff's plans for the offensive line in the upcoming class.

Specifically, would UA take a lineman in a year when scholarship numbers are tight?

That question received a partial answer after Saturday's camp when Mountain Brook offensive guard William Vlachos, 6-foot-1, 302 pounds, accepted Bama's grayshirt offer, meaning he'll enroll full-time at the Capstone in January 2008 and count against that year's signing class numbers instead of 2007.
