Cooper enjoys USC camp, changes timeframe
Lake City, S.C., linebacker Scotty Cooper, who recently debuted as a four-star player on Rivals.com, attended South Carolina's one-day prospect camp over the weekend. It represented one of several trips Cooper has taken to Columbia over the last several months, but his first since the Gamecocks' spring practice was taking place in April.
"Everything went real well at the camp," the 6-foot, 200-pound Cooper said. "I always have a good time there, and it was good to get back there."
Cooper, who runs the 40-yard dash in under 4.5 seconds, could begin his college career at safety, which is where he spent his time on Saturday.
