Lacy patiently waiting for first offer
Los Angeles Verbum Dei High School Maxwell Lacy put up some very impressive numbers in his junior season. The 6-foot-2 192 pound wide receiver said he had, 63 catches for 862 yards and 14 touchdowns while concentrating solely on football. His junior year of school just recently ended so now the team is hitting the weight room and doing plenty of running.
"We lift every day, we run this thing called the 'Dallas Mile' where you have to run a mile, but every lap has to be under 60 seconds," Lacy said. "Now he's only giving us 57 seconds for each lap and we do it five times. We do a whole lot of running to keep us in shape because we are a small school."
Despite his impressive numbers from last season, Lacy has not received an official offer, but he is receiving a lot of recruiting interest.
"I have not been offered as of yet, but basically every school in the Pac-10, San Diego State, Tennessee, UTEP, Nebraska, Illinois, Utah, Utah State, Colorado, Colorado State, Boise (State), Georgia Tech, Texas and others I can't think of are recruiting me," Lacy said.
