Pulaski County pair look strong for 2008

The 2008 recruiting class in Arkansas is looking better and better as the summer moves along, and two of Pulaski County's best performed well at the Houston Nutt Camp in Fayetteville, Ark., recently.


There were many talented juniors on hand. Two who came into the camp and were already fairly well-known were Little Rock, Ark., Pulaski Academy wide receiver Cruz Williams, 6-foot-3, 195 pounds, ran the 40-yard dash in 4.64 seconds at the camp. Williams has big-time upside, though his statistics were not highly impressive his sophomore season. That is expected to change this season.


"It wasn't too much because I didn't get the ball too much, but this year it'll be a different story," Williams said. "Hopefully after high school I'll come to Arkansas, show my respect to Arkansas. And after that I want to get to the pros - big dreams."
