Oliver leading cornerbacks after slow start
The Bulldogs are wealthy with young defensive backs vying for playing time behind an experienced veteran who was in their shoes just a few years ago.
Georgia senior cornerback Paul Oliver is the most experienced of any Georgia cornerback going into preseason camp with two starts and four interceptions to his name. The Harrison High graduate's place in the Georgia secondary hasn't come easy though.
"He started out slow," said Georgia head coach Mark Richt. "He was a highly-touted guy and very talented. And then like everybody else he ran into competition."
As a freshman, Oliver was redshirted and struggled to find his footing within the Bulldog secondary in the early stages of his time in Athens.
