Is UVa a school of interest for Nwankwo?

Hollywood, Fla., Chaminade-Madonna offensive guard/offensive tackle Emeka Nwankwo (6-foot-3, 285 pounds, 5.3 seconds) is one of the top linemen in the Sunshine State for 2007. Nwankwo, who sports a double-digit offer list, is one of the Cavaliers' top targets along the offensive line. The Chaminade lineman is interested in UVa but has yet to visit Charlottesville. Is Virginia a favorite for Nwankwo?

"In no particular order, my top five is Virginia, Notre Dame, Florida, Florida State and Georgia. Those are five of the schools that have offered me a scholarship," said Nwankwo.

Nwankwo loves the offensive line tradition that head coach Al Groh is building at UVa.

"They are putting offensive linemen like D'Brickashaw Fergurson in the league under Coach Groh. That is attractive to me. Combine that with the academic reputation of UVa and it is hard not to like them."
